I’m Valeria Citterer, a Venezuelan creative based in Ljubljana since the year 2024.

KARIBSKI was born from my experience of migration and the need to create spaces where cultures can meet naturally, around food, art and music.

Growing up in Latin America, food was always more than nourishment. It was gathering, celebration, and connection. It carries an emotional fingerprint that bring people together naturally. In Slovenia, I found curiosity and openness towards bringing the Latin culture and integrating it to Slovenia, but I found few places where this exchange could truly happen.

Through workshops and events that combine Latin and Caribbean cuisine, ceramics, art, and music, KARIBSKI creates shared experiences where cooking becomes a social celebration where everyone is invited, and the table becomes a common language; beyond words, backgrounds, or borders.

KARIBSKI is about opening the table, creating dialogues, and building a sense of belonging through community.
